Abstraction

As a landscape painter, abstraction allows me to move beyond literal representation and focus on the emotional and atmospheric essence of a place. Rather than depicting every detail, I distill the scene down to its core shapes, colors, and rhythms what it feels like to be there, not just what it looks like.

This approach gives me the freedom to explore mood, memory, and movement in the landscape. Sometimes the horizon disappears, sometimes the trees become gestures, and sometimes the sky is just a wash of emotion. I’m less interested in recreating a location exactly, and more in capturing the energy and presence it holds.
